Homemade Strawberry Lemonade

Strawberry Lemonade

When your mom gives you a ton of home grown lemons and you freeze all of them and forget about them for a couple of months, but eventually find them and defrost them all.... you make lemonade. Did you know when you defrost frozen lemons them become all mushy?
Haha, somehow, I thought they would retain their pre-frozen stature, but they didn't.

I don't even really drink lemonade, but I thought it would be fun to experiment with the lemons. I used this recipe from Allrecipes.com and then I decided to take a handful of strawberries, blended them and added them in to make homemade strawberry lemonade. It was really refreshing!

Recipe

1 3/4 cup lemon juice
8 cups water
1 1/2 cups sugar

Steps

1. In a small pan, boil 1 cup water and sugar until sugar dissolves
2. Mix all ingredients into a pitcher
3. Refrigerate lemonade
4. If you're feeling it, take 4-5 strawberries and puree them in a blender until they become a liquid. Pour a nice glass of lemonade into a glass and top with strawberry puree.
5. Relax and enjoy!

Refresco!
